It was already hard for me to watch this live. I was a BIG MJ fan! One of the tethers to this world for my Mother and I. She used to make me perform as MJ when i was a little kid in talent shows. I would actually win! 😂 She died when i was 17. The bond that my Mother and I had through MJ...Stevie...they keep me connected to her even in after she has transitioned. So, when Michael passed...it hurt me so bad because on of those tethers was cut. And when Stevie sang...broke me down frfr. Stevie Wonder...just the epitome of excellence.🖤😞👊🏿

The man was my favorite musician ever. A living legend. What a voice, music, and dancing. I still remember how, when I worked in a department store in the 80s and one of his songs would come on, I used to strike a pose with a leg kick and a finger point, my coworkers would laugh! I just wish I could've met him and told him what a contribution he made to my life in song! RIP, Michael!😢

Ive only seen Stevie Wonder weep twice, on tv....when Prince died, and Stevie was on CNN/Zoom call. And at this memorial. Thats not to say he hasnt been obviously emotional on other sad occasions like he was at Aretha Franklin's and Luther Vandross's funerals. But I think he emotes this way, because he of all people, is VERY clear about how impactful these people have been..and more importantly, how we'll never get them back. When Prince died, Stevie was an absolute mess on CNN, as he spoke to Anderson Cooper about the loss of his buddy. And when he started crying, I did too. Same kind of thing with Michael. As his life drifted into a realm of ridiculousness and surrealness, I strayed away from him, because his persona got in the way of his music (which started sounding more and more and more commercial and "canned"). But when he died, I came back around, because I went back in my Jackson 5 memory bank, when there was no kid on Earth, who communicated his talent to a viewing audience, the way he did. And those early, EARLY records that he recorded with his brothers and his first two solo projects, that Quincy Jones produced..were absolute GOLD, obviously (Thriller, Off the Wall). After that?...he almost seemed like he stopped being human, abd became a illustrated superhero or something like that.

Listen to him!!! We are witnessing one of GOD’s greatest gifts to mankind. I’ve never phantomed how someone can play a piano and sing at the same time; WOW!!! He plays beautifully and sings equally strong. GOD has blessed us with a “Wonder” in Stevie Wonder!!! He was made to sing!!! He; Michael Jackson; Earth, Wind, and Fire; and The Isley Brothers are the top selling more hit-making artists of all time in my book. They cannot be replaced nor duplicated!!!

I love this tribute! I would have loved to hang out with the two of them, watched movies with them ,and make each other laugh with those laughing competitions. I know how you feel Brooke, I loved him too for who he was, and not just as a performer. The three of us would have been great friends. I don't see you both as an actor and a performer, I just see you as two people who liked to have fun and laugh! If he were still here with us today, there would be "three little kids." You, Michael, and me. Sometimes whenever I see something funny on TV, or RUclips, or watch a funny episode of Family Feud, laughing so hard that I can't stop, or laugh in any other moment in life, I think, "This is a Michael, Dara, and Brooke moment!" LOL! Hugs to you, Brooke, and thank you for being there for Michael. You're the best!
